Annette M. Ritenour, 58, of Greensburg, PA, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022, at home surrounded by her family after a four-year battle with clear cell ovarian cancer which she battled bravely. She was born January 30, 1964, in Mt. Pleasant, PA to Monica M. Ritenour and Cliff Leonard. She worked as a Senior Product Analyst for EnergyCAP of State College, PA. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg. She had a big heart and was passionate about animals and animal rescue. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Helen and Felix Knaus; a brother Cliffy Leonard; a cousin Robert Knaus; and an aunt Gerri Knaus. In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters Angela Ritenour and Chelsea Leonard; a nephew Cody Baum and grand nieces Presley and Emery Baum; an uncle, Gene Knaus; a cousin, Michelle Knaus; an aunt Ellen (Bill) Allison and their daughters Marcy Allison and Maureen (Garry) Flagg and their daughter Shay Flagg; and her beloved pets Wally, Peanut, Momma K, Ditters and Charley. Private visitation took place Monday, May 2, 2022, at Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt, PA 15674 followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of Grace Church. Burial was in Forty Martyrs Cemetery, Trauger, PA. Annette's family would like to thank Dr. Eric Campbell, Dr. John Waas, and their staff for the wonderful care they provided over the last several years. Memorial donations in her name can be made to your local animal shelter or to ovarian cancer research. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
