Barbara L. Porterfield

Barbara L. Porterfield, 84, of Hempfield Township passed away Friday May 27, 2016 at Westmoreland Manor. She was born March 30, 1932 and was the daughter of Mary C. Long. In addition to her mother, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Vaun M. Porterfield. She was a loving mother to Melvin, Clifford, Cynthia, Darrel, Sandra, Ronald and their families. She is also survived by her brother, John Roger (Joanne) Long, of Ohio. Family and Friends will be received 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Tuesday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245, Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt, PA. Her funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday in the funeral home, her brother-in-law, Rev. Dr. Dale L. Porterfield, officiating. Interment to follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg, PA.
