Bill D. Vokes Sr., 70, of Kecksburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 1, 2021. He was born April 15, 1951, in Clearfield Pa., a son of the late Florence Baker and Wlber Vokes. He enjoyed fishing, riding his lawn mower and hunting. He retired from Seton Hill University as director of Maintenance and Grounds where he worked for 52 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife Judy of 52 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Bill (Brenda) Vokes and daughter Cathy (Mark) Vokes; granddaughter Gabrielle (Brandon) Himes, Cody Vokes, and Jamie (Kevin) Smith; great-grandchildren his princess Peyton Himes, big guy Carson Himes, Declan and Adelyn Smith. He is also survived by his siblings John (Cheree) Vokes, Darlene Stahl, Janet (Gary) Hood, Shirley Baker, and preceded by siblings, Joann Vokes, Frank Baker, Nancy Vokes Baker, Ronald Vokes. Family and friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday October 3, 2021, in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt, Pa., where his funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, October 4th in the funeral home with Rev. Homer Wayner Painter officiating. Interment is to follow in Middle Presbyterian Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township, Pa.
