Cheryl A. Kubasky, age 65, of Mount Pleasant Twp, passed away with her loving family by her side at 12:06 PM on December 14, 2023, at West Penn Hospital due to complications from leukemia. She was born in Mount Pleasant on July 3, 1958, to the late Frank and Helen (Soforic) Karfelt.
Cheryl spent 23 years in the shipping department at Lenox before retiring from Philips/Respironics after 17 years of service.
Outside of work, Cheryl found joy in various activities. She loved taking long walks, immersing herself in books, and passionately supporting the Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition, she actively participated in cancer support organizations such as Cancer Bridges, Camp Raising Spirits, and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Robert L. Kubasky, her brother Frank Karfelt, her sister Karen (Robert) Hudec, numerous cousins, good friends, and caring neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Mary Karfelt and James and Elizabeth Soforic.
A private service, following Cheryl's wishes, will be held with burial at Middle Presbyterian Cemetery. Services entrusted to the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt (Mt. Pleasant Twp.), PA.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and staff at West Penn Hospital for their exceptional care during Cheryl's illness.

These organizations held a special place in Cheryl's heart, and donations in her memory would be greatly appreciated.
Cheryl will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering spirit will forever be cherished in the memories of her loved ones. May she rest in eternal peace.
