Dale Rose Miller

Dale Rose Miller, 85, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sept. 9, 2022, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born Feb. 18, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Edward and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Newill) Miller. Prior to retirement, Dale was a self-employed dairy farmer. In retirement, Dale enjoyed taking care of his farmland, planting trees, flowers and vegetable gardening, specifically tomatoes. Although he was very shy, he was quick to crack a smile and greet you with some quirky conversation. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Marissa Rose Colonna; and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dorothy Jane (Brown) Miller; two daughters, Elaine Rose Bohatch and husband, Stephen, and Laura Jane Frank and husband, David; one granddaughter, Autumn Jane Lesniak; one sister, Dolores Gearhart; and several nieces, nephews and friends. Services for Dale will be private for the family. The JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt, PA 15674, will be handling the arrangements for the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Dale's name to a charity of one's choice.
