Earl Watson's journey in life in Charles Town, W.Va., ended and his eternal life in Heaven began Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, when he passed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Born April 19, 1930, in Larimer, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Watson (March 2014), and his parents, Leonard Sr. and Zelma Watson. Prior to his retirement, he worked at VW Westmoreland as a line supplier and the GC Murphy Co. warehouse facility. He is survived by three children, Cynthia (Neal) Folsom, of North Carolina, Timothy (Peggie) Watson, of Irwin, and Gerald (Arlyn) Watson, of Charles Town, W.Va.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved and cherished. Also surviving is his brother, Leonard Watson Jr., of Latrobe. Family and friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, where his funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Martin R. Koss officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Kecksburg.
