Emma C. (Kulczak) Zider, 83, of United, PA (Mt. Pleasant Twp.), passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born October 2,1938, in Everson,Pa. Emma was a daughter to the late August J. and Nellie D.(Fabiszewski) Kulczak. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 33 years, Stanley W. Zider in August 2012;grandchild Charles Zider in December 1994; Emma was a graduate of
Scottdale Joint High School, Class of 1956. Before retiring in November,1998, she was employed at the Old Republic Insurance Company in Greensburg, PA for nearly 40 years. Emma was a member of St. Florian Church, United, where she was a former Choir member, a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion and a Lector for many years. She was also a member of the Altar Society and a willing worker at the annual Church Festival each summer. Emma was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by five siblings, Martha (William)Kolberg, Frank, Joseph, Victor, and Anastasia Kulczak, and a sister-in law, Helen Costelnock. She is survived by four step-children, Stanley (Nancy) Zider, Cynthia (Edward) Albert,Suzanne (Neil) Thomason , and Jerome (Danita) Zider; six grandchildren, Christopher (Valarie)Mattock, Adam (Renatta) Zider, Jessica (Jed) Morris,Jacob (Tiffany) Zider, Morgan Zider, Sage (Hannah) Zider; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan and Natalie Mattock, Jeffrey Morris, Adyson and Alena Weston, Greyson Zider, and Camden Zider; sister-in laws, Christine Kulczak, and Rosemary Kulczak and;brother-in-law Bill Costelnock; as well as many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.Family and friends will be received 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2022, in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home,Norvelt. The Altar Society will be respecting the Rosary 3:30 p.m Friday,in the Funeral Home. Vigil prayers will be said at 7:45 p.m., also in the Funeral Home. Transfer prayers will take place Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 11:45 a.m.in the Funeral Home. Emma's Funeral Mass will be 12:30 p.m at St. Florian Church with Rev. John A.Sedlak, celebrant.Interment will follow in Forty Martyrs Cemetery,Trauger.
