Evelyn L Johnson Overly 90 formerly of Acme passed away Friday May 12. 2017.  Born December 7 1926 in Norvelt, she was the daughter of the late Thomas

H. and Mabel Myers Johnson.  She was a member of Fairview Church of God, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John R., her daughter Joyce Komlenic; sisters Erma Holden, Millie Rafferty and an infant sister. She was the loving mother to 3 daughters, Dee Shaffer(Bob) Norvelt, Linda Baric(Rich) of North Carolina, Charma Huey of New York, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her family. Evelyn loved spending time with her family, traveling, and enjoyed bingo to the fullest. Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt. Her funeral service will be 10am in the funeral home Tuesday with Rev. Dr. Dale L. Porterfield officiating. Following she will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, Mt Pleasant Township. In lieu of flowers contributions in Evelyn’s memory may be made to Community Church of Hecla, Po Box 105
