Geraldine J. Zaronsky, 88, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at the Elizabeth Seton Memory Care Center, Greensburg. She was born Feb. 22, 1935, a daughter of the late Stephen and Helen Shander Stepanik.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Christie. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary church.
She was a graduate of Hurst High School, going on to work as an operator at Bell Telephone. She then chose to quit working to take care of her family.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family. Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Paul Zaronsky; two daughters, Diane Kuhns, of Ligonier, and Denise (Frank) Patula, of Acme; four grandchildren, Amanda (Christopher) Taylor, of Ligonier, Ryan Kuhns, of Mt. Pleasant, Captain Adam Patula, of Acme, Jared Patula, of Acme; sisters, Dolores Pfeifer, of Libertyville, Ill., Stephania Helinsky, of Greensburg, Marilyn Roberts, of Mt. Pleasant; numerous nieces and nephews; and former son-in-law, James Kuhns, of Mt. Pleasant.
In honoring Geraldine's wishes there will be no viewing and funeral services are private. Services entrusted to HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME (formerly Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home), Norvelt.
The family wishes to thank Elizabeth Seton Memory Care and Sunquest Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care given to Geraldine.
