Gilbert R. Ritenour, 80 of Acme passed away Saturday October 28, 2017 in RNC Hempfield Township, Greensburg.  Born February  26, 1937 in Melcroft, he was a son of the late Denver and Beatrice Ritenour.  Prior to retirement he was employed by the coal mines .In addition to his parents , he was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Ritenour and a son Mark Ritenour.  Also he was predeceased by  siblings, Dolores Kalp, and Bub Ritenour. Gilbert is survived by his long time fiance Dorothy Voytek, his sons Denny (Arlene) Ritenour of Indian Head, Jeffrey (Telka) Ritenour of Donegal, Gilbert (Linda) Ritenour of Normalville, Clifford (Brenda Lee) Ritenour of Acme: his daughter Brenda and Bob King of Acme. He is also survived by Dorothy’s children Mark, Michael, Kim, son in law Tom and grandchildren Kelsey and Steven  He is the granfather to nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Gilbert is also survived by a sister Shirley Albright, and brother Donnie Ritenour. Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt, where his funeral service will be 11 am Wednesday with Rev. David L. Greer, officating. Gilbert will be laid to rest in Byerly-Freeman Cementery, Donegal Township.
