Glen W. Embree, 81, of Calumet, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on October 21, 2024.
Glen proudly served his country in the United States Navy following his graduation from high school. After completing his service, he embarked on a career as a Pipefitter with Local Union 354 in Youngwood, where he worked diligently until his retirement. His dedication to his community extended beyond his professional life; Glen served as a Mt. Pleasant Township supervisor for three years and was also a state constable, roles in which he took great pride.
An avid traveler, Glen embraced the opportunity to explore new places and cultures. He was deeply involved in political races, lending his support to numerous political campaigns, always advocating for those he believed would serve their constituents effectively.
Glen was immensely proud of his Polish heritage, a pride he expressed through his love of attending Polka dances, where he could celebrate his cultural roots with joy and enthusiasm.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ava Elise Embree-Jones, and two brothers, Chester Brzostowski and Robert Campbell.
He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Rose (Antonishen) Embree, his son Glen, Jr. and wife Michelle, and their son, Glen, III.; His son James B. Embree and wife Patty, and their children Kelton and Kenna; His daughter Kathleen Hampton and her husband Brayan, and their children Anna Maddison Embree-Jones, Ty, Brett, and Paige Hampton; His siblings, Patrick, Michael, and William Embree, Mary Caparone, Margaret Kelly, Frances Summers, Constance, Mike, and Curt Brzostowski.
