Glenda F. Crosby ,76 of Hecla, passed away today Tuesday March 8, 2016. Born December 5, 1939 in Harrison City, she was a daughter of the late Harry and Alta Baughman Rugh. Glenda was a member of the Armbrust Wesleyan Church, the Appalachian Wagon Train, Tri-county horse pony and mule association and the Wagoneers; Glenda cherished her many friendships made as if they were her extended family. She loved to sew, read, and crochet. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter Terri Lee, brothers Lloyd D. “Sonny” and Thomas, and sister Wanda “Sis” Wilson. Surviving is her husband of 54 years James E. two sons James E. Crosby Jr. and his wife Mary Beth, Hecla, Terry L. Crosby and his wife Edith “Sis”, Ebensburg; 5 grandchildren Rachael (Steve) Tylka, Jamie (Adam) Leonard, Amanda (David) O’Leary, Shannan Simmers and Dan, and Jenny Lynn Crosby; 4 great grandchildren Abigail, Delilah, and Derek O’Leary and baby Leonard on the way; siblings Annona “Toots” Morrison, Harriet Garis, Ken Rugh, Harry Rugh, Gladys Laick and sisters-in law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-9p.m. in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road Norvelt 15674. Additional visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Armbrust Wesleyan Church followed by her funeral service to begin at 10 a.m. with Reverend Timothy E. Stradling, officiating. Interment to follow Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg.
