Glenn J. Zimmerman

Glenn J. Zimmerman, 92, of Brinkerton passed away Monday, April 27, 2015 in Margate, Fl. Born April 26, 1923 in Greensburg. He was the son of the late Edward and Edna (Huffman) Zimmerman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 2nd wife Mary E. "Libby" (Zangla) Frederick Zimmerman, daughter-in-law Elaine Zimmerman, brothers George Zimmerman, Edward and his wife Virginia Zimmerman. Glenn was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Trauger. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Multi Metals, Delmont. A graduate of Greensburg High School, class of 1941. Glenn loved to hunt, trap, loved his dog and his garden. He was a life member of various local associations. Glenn is survived by 4 children, Glenn of Clearwater, FL, Ronald ( Sylvia) of Norvelt, Kimberly (Bruce)Goodman of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Terry (Janice) Frederick of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren Glenn (Lauren) Zimmerman, Todd (Lauren) Zimmerman both of FL, Ronald (Sandy) Zimmerman of Latrobe, Ashley (Mark) Deeb, 2ND LT. Tyler (Jessica) Goodman, USAF, all of FL, Jennifer (Kirk) Einfalt of State College, Jocelyn (Jeremy) Martin of Mt. Pleasant; 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings Richard (Nancy) Zimmerman of Greensburg, Ruth Brinker of Hunker, sister-in-law Josephine Zimmerman of Delmont, and nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received 1-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Norvelt, 15674 His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark A. Werner officiating. Interment to follow in Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg.
