Gregory J Harhai

d. May 21, 2021

Gregory J. Harhai, 67, of Mt. Pleasant Township, died Friday, May 21, 2021, unexpectedly while doing his morning cardio with his fiancee, Karen Keeley. Born in England, Greg had dual citizenship. He was born May 17, 1954, a son of Dolores Harhai and the late George Harhai. Greg is survived by his fiancee, Karen Keeley, and his loving children, Jennifer (Jim) Fullman, Alycia (Dan) Palmer, Greg (Michelle)Harhai, and his "favorites," his grandchildren, Cassidy and Caitlyn Fullman and Grayson and Annalee Harhai; sister, Christine Roscosky; brother, George (Joyce) Harhai; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bill Roscosky, in 2004. Greg was an artist. While owning many businesses, his passion for nature and creative art-scaping may have been his finest creations. Greg loved the need for speed, from his racing days to competitive car shows, to the hours spent in the gym while preparing for Mr. Pittsburgh. Fitness was a very important part of his life. Greg was an eternal optimist, turning "problems into opportunities." He always saw the glass as half full and welcomed everyone with a smile. Greg/Dad will be greatly missed by his family. Family and friends will be welcomed by the family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021, in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt. The parastas will be served at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Panachida will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 27, in the funeral home with Father Paul-Alexander Shutt O.S.B., officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Trauger.
