Helen Virgnia "Ansell" Freeman

Helen Virginia (Ansell) Freeman, 80 of Kecksburg, passed away November 1, 2016 in Eicher’s Family Home, Normallville. She was born December 2, 1935 in Scottdale, PA, a daughter of Roy and Evelyn Barkley Ansell. Helen was a member of Mt. Zion Community Church of Acme. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Clarence and Jim and sisters Bertha, Dorothy, Mary, Stella, Catherine, and Thelma. She was a beloved wife to her husband Boyd “Bud” L. Freeman and loving mother to her children Robin Snyder (Ken) and Allen Freeman (Joyce). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chad and Aaron Snyder and Keith (Katie) Freeman and Kevin Freeman; great grandchildren Westin, and Daisy Freeman; brothers Eddie, Elmer, George, and Gerald Ansell; sisters Esther Manross, Mildred Jackson, Linda Bishara, and Barbara Ball; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Rd, Norvelt from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Additional viewing will take place at Mt. Zion Community Church in Acme 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, followed by Helen’s funeral service at 11 a.m., Rev. Paul J. Haasz officiating. Interment will take place afterwards at Fairview Cemetery, Kecksburg. Helen’s family would like to sincerely thank Eicher’s Family Home for their kindness, care, and compassion.
