Herbert Joseph Foreman

Herbert Joseph Foreman, 88 of Acme, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2016. Born July 27, 1928 in Dawson, PA, he was a son of Clyde and Arabell Herbert Foreman. He was a member of Acme Open Bible Church. Prior to retirement, he was a foreman for PennDOT. Herbert was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother to his family. He loved to work in the garden and to fish. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Norma J. Roadman Foreman and his son Jonny Harold Foreman; siblings, infant brother Sonny Foreman, Daisy Jane Gardner, William Harry Foreman, Clyde D. Foreman, Robert Curtis Foreman, Elma Elizabeth Falbo, and Esther Bella Link He is survived by his children Harry Herbert Foreman and his wife Daniella of Colorado, Tommy Joseph Foreman of Acme, and Mary Dawn Smartnick and her husband Tyrone of Mt. Pleasant; Six grandchildren, Heidi Mason, Jodie Murray, Justin Foreman and Megan, Nathanael, and Andrew Smartnick; Seven great-grandchildren, Isaac, Madison, and Trevor Mason, Maxwell and Chase Pritts, and Stephen and Raelyn Foreman; sisters Mary Lou Roebuck of Ohio and Arabell Patricia Shearer and her husband William of Zelienople; and nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received 10 am to 6 pm Saturday in Acme Open Bible Church, 725 Bear Rocks Rd., Acme, PA 15610. Herbert’s memorial service will begin at 6 pm, following visitation, his son-in-law, Reverend Tyrone T. Smartnick, officiating. His interment will be 1 pm Sunday in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant.
