Irene Cibulas Balazek

Irene Cibulas Balazek, 98, passed peacefully at her home in Latrobe on May 1, 2024. She was born on March 16, 1926 to John and Anna (Hajduk) Cibulas. 
Irene was originally from Norvelt, but moved to many states where her husband’s job took them.  
She was predeceased by her husband David Balazek, six brothers, Joseph, John, Edward, William, Steve and Eugene and a sister Ann Bayne Maichak, two nieces and two nephews.  
She is survived by her sister Mary Goswick of Michigan and brother Robert (Marlene) from Mt. Pleasant, sisters in law, Beverly Cibulas of Michigan and Lorraine Cibulas of Greensburg and many nieces and nephews.  
There will be no visitation or viewing.  Interment will be private in St. Vincent Cemetery per her wishes. 
The family of Irene wants to thank her great neighbors Wendy, Vicki and Ethel for being such caring and compassionate friends to her.  Also to Laurie and Joy from Visiting Angels for their kind attention to her needs.  Irene loved her large family and collected hundreds of pictures to prove it.  Love is never ending!
