James ‘Jimbo’ Allen Forish, 65, of Greensburg, passed away unexpectedly on August 1st, 2024, at home. He was born in Mount Pleasant, on October 26th, 1958, son of the late William E. Forish and Eleanor G. (Sweitzer) Forish.
Growing up in South Greensburg, Jim was a 1976 graduate of Greensburg-Salem High School.
He was employed by Master-Lee Energy Services where he worked as a business development manager for the past 37 years.
He was a member of the Polish Falcons Club of Mount Pleasant and the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #225. Jim loved trying out new hobbies, like scuba diving, fly fishing, traveling, playing guitar, riding his Harley, and even took aviation lessons.
He loved to collect gadgets and experiment with new technology. Jim was known to be hardworking, kind, generous, and his sense of humor will be missed by many.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Patrick C. Forish, of Greensburg, and Eugene E. Forish, of Tucson, AZ.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cassidy and Cody Gamble, and his life partner of 25 years, Karen Manz, all of Greensburg, two brothers, William J. Forish and wife Twila, of St. Petersburg, FL, and Joseph A. Forish, of Santa Rosa, CA, a sister-in-law, Debora Shollenberger, of Greensburg, many nieces, friends, and his cat.
There will be no visitation or memorial service, however, family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Friday, August 9th, 2024, at Jimbo’s favorite place, Giannilli’s II (Route 30 West location), from 6-9 PM.
