James M. Kochis

James M. Kochis, 81, of Norvelt, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Born February 1, 1934 in United, he was the son of the late Michael and Marie (Kolacinski) Kochis. A former member of St. Stanislaus, he also attended St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe. James was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during peacetime. He enjoyed gardening, fine art, and was a talented painter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemarie Marinchak. He is survived by his children, The Very Reverend Father, Michael Kochis and wife Paula, of Coraopolis, and Jacqueline Manolakos and husband Jim of Latrobe, grandchildren; Michael, Juliana, Nikolas, plus nieces nephews and cousins. The funeral Mass for James and Katharine will be 10 AM Monday in St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe. Interment will be private.
