Jane Elizabeth Weiers passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021. She was born May 20, 1927, in Standard Shaft, Mt. Pleasant, to Harry L and Hilda E. Snyder. She was preceded in death by first husband, William W. Leasure, and second husband, Merle E. Weiers; brothers, Harry, William, Peter and Thomas Snyder; sisters, Mary Appleby and Bernice Yanniello; nephews, Joseph Appleby and Thomas W. Snyder II; and niece, Peggy Snyder. She is survived by sister, Betsy Kirlik; nephews, Harry, Pete, Larry and John Dean Snyder; nieces, Mary Beth Hoos, Patricia L Mathews, Rosemary McVety, Bunny Scott, Kathleen Keaden, Mary Ann, Betsy, Cornelia and Margaret Appleby and Katie London; son, William Martin Weiers and his fiancee, Nancy Ann, of Donegal; Oma/Great Oma to Ashley Ann Weiers and her son, Logan Jay Frederick, of Queen Creek, Ariz., William Martin Weiers Il and his wife, Joan Marie, of Hudson, N.C., and Caitlan Elizabeth Weiers and her son, Holden Alli Funez Weiers, of Westmont, Pa. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Red Hats, Triple Teen (trips), Volunteer of Meals on Wheels and a pierogi maker and member of St. Stanislaus Church. Jane was a bookkeeper for Pritts Feed Mill for over 50 years, starting her career at 16. She was quiet gentle woman who faced life’s adversities with strength, tenacity and diligence. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. What she cherished the most was time with her son and grandchildren. Tea parties with her granddaughters, Ashley and Caitlan. She enjoyed special time with granddaughter, Ashley, such as: attending "The Nutcracker" in Pennsylvania and Arizona, the Arizona Butterfly exhibit and their flower gardening. Jane appreciated time spent with friends walking at the park. She was a unique and special woman whose life represented hard work, sacrifice, love, dedication and an unwavering faith in God, family and friends. She embodied all things good in life. Her spirit lives on in all the memories we were blessed to share. May she rest in God’s eternal love. She will be missed dearly. Service and Internment for family will be held at later date. Arrangements are by JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt.
