John “Jack” L. Eisaman Sr. 76 of Acme passed away after a brief illness of a very rare aggressive cancer of the gall bladder. Thursday February 9, 2017. Born February 26, 1940 in Middletown, son of the late Paul F. and Sara E. Montgomery Eisaman. Jack retired from RobertShaws Invensys in New Stanton with 33 years of service. He was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1961-1964 He was a lifelong member of Hecla Sportsman, Norvelt Firemen’s Club, Kecksburg, Amvets Post 94 of United, and a lifelong member of Calumet Club. He was a recipient of sharp shooter and truck driving award. After the Army Jack worked in communications. In the service Jack always came in first in PT fitness. Jack enjoyed country music, all sports, racing NASCAR, watching football, the Steelers, hunting and fishing, and bowling for Fox Hill Athletics Club. He was the loving husband of 50 years on May 14, 1966 to Ellen (Skovira) Eisaman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by son William “Billy” Eisaman, Sister Fay Eisaman, brothers Paul JR., Wade and Carl Eisaman, brothers in law Vernon Baur and Bob Seaton, nephew Paul Eisaman and Dwayne Skovira, father in law and mother in law Genevieve and Robert Skovira. He is survived by sons John “Jack” (Lisa) Eisaman Jr and Donnie Eisaman, sisters Evelyn Livingston of Michigan, Jean Baur of Jeanette, Joann Seaton of Brinkerton, Shirley Chalfant (Bill) of Humphries, brother David Eisaman of Donegal, sister in laws Beverly Eisaman of Hecla, Helen Eisaman of JonesMills and Sandy Eisman of Greensburg, 3 grandchildren John W. Eisaman and wife Leslie, William J Jogun and Emily M. Eisaman, 1 great grandson John Matthew and nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received in the Jay A Hoffer funeral home Friday 2-4 and 6-8pm. Followed by his funeral service at the funeral home at 11am Saturday with Reverend Timothy Thunberg officiating. Interment will follow in Brush creek cemetery.
