John Placko

John Jack Placko,87,of United, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 7,2022,at WestMoreland Manor.He was born June 10,1935, to the late Joseph and Catherine E. (Smith) Placko. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Don.Jack worked as an independent painter. He was a member of the former Forty Martyrs Church.Jack had a passion for golf, boxing and watching Notre Dame Football. Family and friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt, PA 15674 where a funeral liturgy outside of Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Private interment will follow at Forty Martyrs Cemetery, Trauger.
