John William Rosenbauer, age 72, of Norvelt, PA, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024, at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital. Born on July 14, 1951, in Braddock, he was the son of the late John C. and Margaret (Geiger) Rosenbauer.
John dedicated many years of his life to his work as a truck driver for Taylor Leasing. He took great pride in his profession and enjoyed the freedom of the open road. Outside of work, John had a deep passion for trains and driving. He found solace and joy in these activities, which brought him much happiness throughout his life.
John was an active member of the Pittsburgh Garden Railway Society and Living Hope Church in Whitney. He cherished the bonds he formed with fellow enthusiasts, finding comfort and camaraderie in their shared interests.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peg Thomas. He leaves behind a loving family and countless friends who will forever hold him in their hearts. His wife of 40 years, Linda (Leazier), his children Carey Rosenbauer and Katy (Brandon) Bruner, and his grandchildren Caleb, Haley, and Shenandoah. John is also survived by his sister Susan (David) Hyser, and brothers Daniel (Robin) and James (Joyce) Rosenbauer, many nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Buddy, who provided him with unwavering companionship and loyalty.
In accordance with John's wishes, there will be no services held. The arrangements have been entrusted to HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME (formerly Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home), Norvelt, PA. Although we mourn the loss of John, we find solace in knowing that he is now at peace. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
