John G. Tlumack Jr. 86, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday May 5, 2017. Born April 20, 1931, he was the son of the late John G. Sr. and Marie Biller Tlumack. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. John worked at Hockensmith Corp for over 30 years and was a veteran of the Air Force having served during the Korean War.  He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by half-brother William Biller, two sisters Marie Henschel and Madelyn “Madge” DiCocco. He is survived by 4 children Michele J. (Nicholas) Takacs of Canonsburg, John G. III (Sharon) Tlumack of Connellsville, Brian E. (Sandy) Tlumack of Latrobe, and David S. (Carolyn) Tlumack of Greensburg, the children’s mother Wanda Tlumack. Six grandchildren Dane, Brittany, Brandon, John-Luke, Christian and Matthew, and several nieces, nephews and friends,  brother Philip “Buck” Tlumack of Mt. Pleasant, sister Virginia “Ginny” Selembo of Greensburg, significant other Kathy Czech of Mt. Pleasant. Family and friends will be received in the Jay A. Hoffer funeral home Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8pm.  A parish wake service will be held at 3:30pm Tuesday in the funeral home. A blessing service will be held Wednesday at the funeral home at 12:30pm followed by John’s funeral mass at 1:00pm in St. Pius Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant with the Reverend Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Pius Cemetery with full military rites accorded by the Armbrust Veteran Association.
