Jonathan Ryan Antonishen, “Anto” of Acme passed away Monday March 23, 2015. Born December 30, 1992 in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of Walter and Terri (Noel) Antonishen. His passion in life was football. His football career began as a Novelt Colt. He continued on to be a prominent and proud member and captain of the Mt. Pleasant Viking football family. Jonathan was a senior at Geneva Christian College. He continued his football career as a starting defensive lineman for 3 of his 4 years. He was also a dedicated member of the track and field team. Football was his life and his teammates were his family. In addition to his parents he is survived by his brother Nick; maternal grandmother Linda Noel “mom-mom” and Tony Avampato; paternal grandmother Helen Jane Zeman and Joseph and paternal grandfather Roy Noel “pap”; Aunt Tracy and Uncle Ralph Scurci and their sons Dominic and Demetri; Uncle Frank Antonishen and Margie and his sons Stephen and Michael; Aunt Terri Eicher “Aunt T” and uncle Ken and their son Justin and Jonathan’s beloved dog Titan. Jonathan was a conscientious student, hard worker, and promising engineer. Whether you met him only once or a longtime friend his bigger than life personality left a lasting impression. His infectious smile lit up a room. He was the perfect son, the most genuine friend and the greatest big brother and role model to Nick. Nick and Jon had a bond between one another that most brothers never experience. Family and friends will be received 2-8 PM Friday and 11 AM – 2PM Saturday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Rd., Norvelt, 15674. Funeral service will begin at 2 pm with Jeff Swanson officiating. In lieu of flowers, keep his legacy alive.
