Joseph John Bann

Joseph John Bann, 63, of Bellefonte, PA, formerly of Norvelt, died Wednesday March 20, 2024 in Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College PA. 

Born June 27, 1960 in Greensburg PA a son of the late Raymond and Mary (Grec) Bann. He was employed by the Governors Pub in Bellefonte as their restaurant manager. He was preceded in death by a brother Raymond Bann II in 2017. 

Joe was a graduate of Mount Pleasant Area High School, Class of 1978. Joe enjoyed life, weather, playing drums in the family band (Polka Fantastics), skiing down that snowy slope or hitting them hard on the golf course. 

Joe enjoyed his casino trips to the blackjack tables or just sitting on his back porch with Bentley enjoying a good book. 

Joe is survived by his brother James Bann and his wife Richele of Erie, his sister Mary Ann Bann of Mount Pleasant and his sister-in-law Renee Bann of Mount Pleasant, nephews Raymond and Ryan, nieces Michaela and Makenzie, and two great nieces Madison and Morgan. 

Joe is also survived by his loyal canine companion Bentley of 17 years. We would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Rita and Jeanne of Bellefonte for the care and compassion they extended to our brother Joe through these past months. Family and friends will be received on Friday April 12th from 4-8pm at the Hoffer Wilt Funeral Home (formerly Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home). Norvelt, PA.
