Joseph Robert Yanok, 54 of Mammoth passed away Wednesday November 7, 2018 in Excela Hospital after a year of bone cancer. Born May 21, 1964 the son of Helen Howard Yanok and the late Michael Yanok. Joe graduated from Mt. Pleasant Area High School in 1982. He worked for Kitchen Gallery of New Stanton. Joe belonged to Mt. Pleasant Fireman’s Club, Polish Falcons, and Kecksburg Fireman’s Club. He is survived by his mother, Brother Michael, and two nephews Brett and Kevin Yanok. Also survived by a very special person in his life Tracy Brier, her children Stephanie Brier (Nathanael), Clarissa (Joseph) Anderson, and Zachary Brier, his special pals Haydn and Lydia, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends will be received 2-8pm Thursday November 8, 2018 in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral home, Norvelt. Vigil prayers will be 7:45pm Thursday in the funeral home. Funeral mass will be Friday 9:30am in St. Florian Catholic Church with Reverend John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Please go directly to the church. Interment to follow in St. Florian Cemetery, Trauger.
