Kevin A. Wilkins

Kevin A. Wilkins, servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, age 66, born January 2, 1950 passed away peacefully on Saturday September 10, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Kevin was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. His great love for Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior was exemplified in every aspect of his life. He served as pastor at the Wooddale Church of the Brethren and El Bethel Church of the Brethren for many years. He was the elder of the Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren, County Line Church of the Brethren and Connellsville Church of the Brethren for a number of years. Kevin loved sharing his faith with everyone he came in contact with. We rejoice knowing that he is with our Lord in Heaven. Kevin was employed by Scott Electric in Greensburg for 26 years. He was preceded in death by his father Clair S. and mother Betty J. (Newill) Wilkins and his sister Joyce Wilkins. He is survived by his loving wife Linda R. (Herman) Wilkins, with whom he would celebrate his 45th wedding anniversary on September 18, 2016. His three loving sons Daniel Kevin and his loving daughter in law Anne, Thomas Ray, and Jeremy Clair and his loving daughter in law Melissa Wilkins. The joys of his life, his precious grandchildren Ryan Daniel, Brock T.J., Chloe Nicole and Ethan Jeremy Wilkins. Everyone who knew and loved Kevin has been truly blest by his love, strength, and faith in God. Viewing will take place at the Jay A Hoffer Funeral Home 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road Norvelt, PA on Tuesday September 13th from 2:00-9:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at the Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren on Wednesday September 14th at 11:00am. Additional viewing will be available at the church beginning at 10:00am on Wednesday. Following the service interment will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery. “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint” Isaiah 40:31 “Love lasts forever”. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kevin’s memory to the Wooddale Church of the Brethren or the Mt. Joy Church of the Brethren.
