Martin J. Sefchick, 96, of Norvelt, passed away, Thursday, January 29, 2015. Born November 12, 1918, he was a son of the late Steve Sr. and Mary (Hahula) Sefchick. Martin was a member of Visitation Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, and a graduate of Hurst High School class of 1937. Prior to retirement in 1987, he was employed by Super Valu (Charley Brothers) as a customer service director. In addition to his parents, Martin was preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years, Margaret C. (Condupa) Sefchick, siblings; Elizabeth Swiderski, Joseph Sefchick and Steve Sefchick, Jr. He was the last surviving member of his family. Martin is survived by his son Niles Sefchick and wife Judith of Greensburg, grandchildren; Sherri and Donald Conde of Greensburg, Jodi Douglas Sefchick of Ann Arbor, MI; Great grandchildren, Rachel Coletta and fiancée Andrew Lopacinski of New Kensington, Ashley Coletta of Greensburg, and Morgan and Raymond Douglas, of Ann Arbor, MI, Step-grandson Jordan Conde of Connellsville, plus numerous nieces and nephews. As per Martin's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Martin's Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday in St. Florian Catholic Church, United, with Rev. John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Entombment to follow at St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. Family and Friends are invited to go directly to the church on Saturday. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the non-profit organization which grants senior citizen wishes: Don't Stop Dreamin, 612 N. Main St., Butler, 16001.
