Maryann S. Krynicky, 83, of Norvelt passed away Sunday December 20, 2015. Born August 16, 1932 in Calumet, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary Marcinik Sikora. She was a member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant and member of the former St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church of Trauger and St. Stanislavs Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church Calumet. Maryann loved to cook and bake and she used those skills as a professional wedding cake decorator. She also worked for Mt. Pleasant Township for twenty years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Anthony Krynicky; brother Michael Sikora; sisters Rosemarie Kowalczyk, Catherine Soblesky, and Dolores Pustay. She will be remembered as a loving and wonderful wife and mother by her husband of 62 years, Anthony J. Krynicky and sons David and Faith Krynicky of Youngwood, Tony and Kimberly Krynicky of Akron, OH, Kevin and Andrea Krynicky of Canton, OH, and Allen Krynicky and Michael Busija. She is also survived by grandchildren Eileen and Brian Frank, TJ and Crystal Krynicky, Ashley and Emily Krynicky, and Kayla Krynicky; great grandchildren Trinity and Paige Krynicky; sisters Loretta Matsko of Connellsville, and Pauline Matsko of Mammoth; special nieces Collette and Lorraine and numerous other nieces and nephews. Family and Friends will be received 6-8 pm Tuesday and 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt, PA 15674. A prayer service will be at 3 pm on Wednesday in the funeral home. Funeral services will be Thursday morning with transfer prayers at 9:15 am in the funeral home and mass at 10 am in Visitation Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant with Father Richard Kosisko, Celebrant.
