Michael J Sosko JR.

Michael J. Sosko Jr., 71, of Mutual, passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021. Born Dec. 4, 1949, he was the son of the late Michael Sr. and Irene (Bishop) Sosko. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Stephen Sosko, and long time fiancee, Janet Brookes. He is survived by his son, Michael Sosko, brother, Bernard Sosko, sister, Irene Miscik, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Michael was a member of the St. Florian Church and lifetime member of the Mutual VFD. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt. Vigil prayers will be 7:45 P.M.Thursday, in the funeral home. Michael's funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, in St. Florian Church, United, with the Rev. John A. Sedlak officiating.Interment will follow in St. Florian Cemetery, Trauger.
