Nellie Mae Terhorst Wilson Patula woke up in the arms of Jesus April 28, 2023. Nellie was born December 29, 1928, in Hunker, PA, a daughter of the late Eberhart and Elizabeth Lietke Terhorst. Nellie lived 86 years of her life in Acme “on the ridge” where she raised her family surrounded by close relatives and friends. Nellie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who made delicious homemade meals and beautiful crocheted afghans for family and friends. In addition to her parents, Nellie was predeceased by her first husband, Charles “Chuck” Wilson who died on January 13, 1955, after 8 years of marriage. Nellie was also predeceased by her second husband, Frank J. Patula, Sr. on February 24, 2018, after 59 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Clair, William, Louis, and Jack Terhorst and sister, Joanne (Stewart) Shaffer. Nellie is survived by the following children, Darlene (Gerald) Brinker of Houston, TX, Peggy (Gary) Baggett of Belmont, NC, Vicky (Randy) Brown of Crucible, PA, Kelly Lloyd of Mebane, NC, Frank (Denise) Patula Jr. of Acme, PA and Gregory (Susan) Patula of Greensburg, PA. Grandchildren include Barry (Kelly) Brinker, Matthew (Adrienne) Brinker, Michelle Brinker, Angela (Wyman) Morriss, Christine (Mark) Bechtel, Jennifer (Steven) Boender, Gary (Stacy) Baggett, Timothy Brown, Kelly (Brian) Landau, Carey (Eddie) Joseph, John (Kris) Lloyd, Adam, Jared, Gregory (Brooklyn), Vincent, Isabella and Rachel Patula. The following great-grandchildren, Sydney (Bodie) Blissett, Kaylee (Andrew) Eyerly, Madeline Eyerly, Wil, Elizabeth and Eleanor Morriss, Jude and Dominic Bechtel, Soren and Rory Boender, James, Jarome, and Kydan Baggett, Baylee and Briana Landau, Tyler (Francesca) and Ian Colbert, Alejandro, Liliana, Nick (Jess), Lesieli and Desire Joseph, Hayden and Kathryn Lloyd. Great-great-grandchildren include Isaiah Baggett, Scarlett Colbert, Tupou and Gianna Joseph, a great-great grandson, Blissett due in June and a great-great granddaughter, Colbert due in July. Nellie also is survived by brother, Jerry (Joyce) Terhorst of Greensburg, PA. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery, Kecksburg, PA, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Brian Geesaman officiating.
