Patricia S. Gumbita

Patricia Solo Gumbita, 75 of Norvelt, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 with Robert M. Gumbita, Sr., her husband of 53 years by her side. A lifelong resident of Norvelt, she was born May 9, 1941, a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Mary Chappo Solo. She was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church, United. Pat had a passion for gardening, especially flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Pravlik. Pat is survived by her husband Robert and their children Lisa Wilson and her husband Greg of Danvielle, CA, Lori Smith and her husband Dr. Deane of Evansville, IN, Leslie Miele and her husband Dr. Vincent of Pittsburgh, and Robert M. Gumbita Jr and his wife Melissa of Norvelt. She is also survived by her most cherished grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with, Robert Gumbita, Landon Smith, Ryan Gumbita, Benjamin Wilson, Alex Wilson, Gabriella Miele, and Elliot Gumbita; and her brother Leonard Solo and his wife Deanna of Sudbury, MA. In honoring Patricia’s wishes, her services were private along with her entombment in the mausoleum of Middle Presbyterian Cemetery. Arrangements were made by JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt.
