Raymond Merle Booher 46, of Norvelt passed away peacefully Friday September 23, 2016 in Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Born January 24, 1970 in Mt. Pleasant. He is a son of Edwin Merle and Alice Irene Underwood Booher, Mt. Pleasant. Raymond was employed as a mechanic for Scottdale Republic Waste Services. He had attended Norvelt Union Church. Raymond was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing. He was the beloved husband to his wife Karen, and the loving brother to Kenny Booher (Tonya) and their children Kendall Willey (Brandon), their daughter Mackenzie, Cody and Heidi, Sandy Steyer (Tom) and their children Caitlyn and Sarah, Amy Murphy and her children Charles, Jacob(Krystal) and Grace, Michael Booher. He is also survived by his brother in law Erik VanBramer. Raymond leaves behind his beloved dog Rosie and his cat Ranger. Family and friends will be received Monday 2-5 and 6-9 Monday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt. Additional viewing will be 10-11am Tuesday in the funeral home at which time the funeral service will begin in the funeral home with Pastor David L. Greer officiating.
