Robert L. Huffman 74, of Mammoth passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday June 14, 2017. He was the beloved husband of 53 years to Margaret Mizikar Huffman and was a loving father to his two daughters Paula Thompson and her husband Bill and Carole Huffman. He was also the loving grandfather to Rachelle Leigh Thompson and Donnie Dillinger, Mathew Robert Thompson, Nicholas, Elyse, and Sierra Stockberger and his great grandson Weston Lee Dillinger.  Robert is survived by three sisters, Ruth Keto, Sarah Martin, and Joan Lubovinsky. He was a member of St. Florian Catholic Church, United and also a member of the Norvelt Golf club, and United club. “Bob” volunteered at Christians Uniting, where he held his past Presidency position, and also volunteered in the Meals on Wheels program in Pleasant Unity. Prior to his retirement he worked for Newcomer Products of Derry. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Family and friends will be received Thursday 3-7pm in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt. Transfer prayers will be on Friday at 9:15am in the Funeral home, followed by his funeral mass to be celebrated 10am at St. Florian Catholic Church with Reverend John A Sedlak, celebrant. Bob will be laid to rest in St. Florian Cemetery, Trauger. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Kecksburg Rescue, or the Jimmy V Cancer Research foundation.
