Robert M. Seman, 78, of Greensburg, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015. Born December 7, 1936, in Calumet, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Yamnitsky) Seman. Prior to retirement, Bob was employed as a machinist at Hamill in Harrison city. Robert was a member of St. Florian Church, United. He was a life-long bowler, and loved to golf and watch sports, especially baseball. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Rita (Hudak) Seman, a sister, Loretta Benci, and a brother in law, John Janis. He is survived by his children, Michele (Michael) Ingram of Arizona, Robert F. Seman of Greensburg, and Cheryl (Ed) Olszewsski of Georgia; Grandchildren, Adam (Carrie) Ligus, Jared and Nathan Ligus, and Avery and Alexandra Olszewsski; siblings Richard and William Seman, Betty Janis, Katie (Frank) Arthur, Evelyn (Norm) Limpert, Barbara Seman, and Bernadette (Joseph) Kitchen; numerous nieces and nephews, and his loving companion Patty Miller and her son Robert E. Miller. Family and Friends will be received 3 – 8 P.M. Wednesday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 MT. PLEASANT RD, NORVELT, 15674. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10 AM Thursday at St. Florian Catholic Church, United, with Rev. John A. Sedlak, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Greensburg. Transfer Prayers will be given Thursday Morning 9:10 AM in the funeral home. A Vigil will be held Wednesday at 3:15 PM in the funeral home.
