Ronald Maczka, 66, of Norvelt, passed away Monday, Oct. 25, 2021. Born Nov. 30, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of the late Stanley and Leona (Biller) Maczka. Ron is survived by his son, Ronald and his wife, Lindsy Maczka; his grandson, Austin; brothers, Richard (Jenny) Biller, Francis (April) Maczka, Stanley Maczka and Robert Maczka; and nephews, Andy (Beth) Biller and their son, Christopher, and Josh (Emily) Biller. Prior to retirement, Ronald was employed by Johnson's Heating & Air Conditioning, Norvelt, for 47 years. He was a lifetime member (54 years) of Norvelt VFD, lifetime member of Hecla Sportsman Club, a social member of Kecksburg VFD, United Club, Mohawks and the Westmoreland County Fire Chiefs Association. Ron loved camping. He was known to be "The camp boss." Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt. Transfer prayers are 10:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Florian Church, United, with the Rev John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Calumet. Vigil prayers will begin at 7:45 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
