Roy Dean Chalfant

Roy Dean Chalfant, 58 of Hempfield Township, passed away in his home Saturday, July 16, 2016. He was born April 13, 1957 to the late Charles and Edna Dean Chalfant. He enjoyed being a father and a grandfather. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by brothers James and Gerry (Sheb) Chalfant, and granddaughter Kaeleigh Beregi. He is survived by his children Stephanie Chalfant and Tone of Greensburg, Michael (Kiki) Chalfant of Pleasant Unity, Jennie (Rick) Mutnansky of Greensburg, Jacquie (Rob) Brunet of Scottdale, Ryan (Laura) Chalfant of Greensburg, Sarah Chalfant and Jeff of Greensburg, and Courtney Hinish of Harrison City; grandchildren Lovey, Hailey, Molly, Isaiah, Robbie, Adam, Jordan, McKayla, Adeline, Alaynah, Julian, Heremiah, Tyler, Isaac, Eli, Elli, and Noah; brothers William (Shirley) Chalfant of Pleasant Unity and Charles (Renee) Chalfant of Greensburg; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and Family will be received 6-8 pm, Wednesday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt. His funeral service will follow at 8 pm with Rev. John George officiating.
