Shirley M. Miller

Shirley Mae (Plummer) Miller of Norvelt, PA, passed away on March 4, 2025. Born on February 18th, 1935, in Derry, PA to the late Kenneth and Gertrude (Cogan) Plummer Sr.

Preceded in death by infant daughters; Shirley Ann and Shirley Mae Miller, her husband Harry J. Miller Jr. and son Jon Eric Miller, sisters; Betty Plummer and Dorothy Basile, brothers; Kenneth Plummer Jr. and James Plummer and son-in-law Edward DePaoli.

Shirley lived a long full life surrounded by her children and grandchildren who visited with her regularly. She was an avid Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. She was incredibly creative, an excellent seamstress, enjoyed bingo and loved baking. She told many stories of raising her six children and cherished those memories.

Shirley is survived by her children; Sandra L. DePaoli (Edward) of North Apollo, PA, James Miller (Diana) of Norvelt, PA, Cheryl Hall (Darryl) of Jefferson City, TN, Donald Miller (Sheryl) of Greensburg, PA, Jan Miller (Carol Byce) of Derry, PA, her grandchildren; Bridget Miller, Jessica Evans, Jared Hall (Dayna), Nathan Miller, Megan Miller, Lindsey Miller, Austin Hall (Anna), and 6 great-grandchildren, and sister; Marian “Chris” Nicely (Ronald) of Latrobe, PA. 

Funeral services will be private and have been entrusted to HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, PA.
