Theodore T. Shay, of Youngwood, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018. Born He was born Dec. 21, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the late Nicholas and Anna Venick Shay. Theodore was a veteran of the Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, Gregory; brother, Edward; and sister, Gennie. Theodore is survived by his beloved wife, Ardis, of 55 years; son, James (Kimberly), of Acme; daughter, Tammy, of Hecla; grandchildren, Erin, Ashley, Joshua, Jordan and Michaela; and brother, Thomas R. (Beverly), of Atlanta, Ga.l and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Beatty officiating.
