Wayne E. Crise, 65, of Norvelt passed away Tuesday August 15, 2017. He was born August 19, 1951 in Norvelt, a son of the late Blaine and Jean Crise. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Sally A. (Wasil) Crise; two daughters, Melissa Crise Sparks of Raleigh, NC, Melanie Crise Boyum and her husband Tim, of Raleigh NC; two brothers, Frank Crise and his wife Sharon, John Crise and his wife Michelle; two sisters, Barb Whipkey and her husband Bill, Patty Deiterich and her husband Jeff; and four grandchildren, Abigail Sparks, Cameron Sparks, Chase Boyum, and Mila Boyum. Wayne proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was retired from Pepsi, where he was a truck driver for 35 years. He was also a member of several social clubs. Wayne actually volunteered his time and services. He made friends with everyone he met and will be dearly missed by all. Family and Friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Friday in the Jay A Hoffer Funeral Home, Norvelt Pa. Wayne’s wishes were for his funeral service to be private with his family together only, with Reverend Dr. Dale L. Porterfield officiating. Private interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery with Military rites accorded by the Armbrust Veteran Association. The veterans will meet in the funeral home.
