Wayne E. Trice, 81, of Alverton passed away Thursday September 22, 2016. Born August 22, 1935 in Trauger. He was the son of the late Ray Edward and Nellie Leona Leeper Trice. Wayne retired from Davis Supermarket with 38 years of service. He was a member of World of Life Church, Greensburg and also attended Church of God, Alverton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dolores Mae Vought Trice, step mother Catherine Jones Trice, brother Robert Trice and sister in law Betty Trice, infant brother Vernon Ray Trice, infant half-brother Gregory, sister in law Saundra Trice, nephew Dean Trice and grandson John Trice, July 16, 2015. He is survived by his son Michael (Tammy) Trice, 3 grandsons and a granddaughter Michael, Cortland, Dempster and Priscilla, five adopted grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was also survived by siblings Josephine Trice of Trauger, Ken Trice of Mt. Pleasant, Ronald(Carol) Trice of Hunker, John “Jack” (Linda) Trice of Ruffsdale and nieces and nephews, half-brothers Larry (Phyllis) Trice, Cliff Trice, Brad(Louise) Trice, Barry Trice, Archie (Marcia) Trice and Ray (Michelle) Trice, and step brother Ronald (Patty) Jones. Friends and Family will be received 1-4 and 6-9pm Monday in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt. His funeral service will be 1pm Tuesday in the funeral home with Pastor Henry officiating.
