William J Lakin Sr.

William J Lakin Sr.79, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Sunday July 11,2021 at home. Born November 28, 1941 he was the son of the late William and Sophia (Punjock) Lakin. He is preceded in death by his wife Betty (Ober) Lakin. In addition to his wife he is also preceded in death by son Barry Lakin. He is survived by his son William J Jr. and Kimberly (Kernicky) Lakin of Mt Pleasant and daughter Bethann (Brian) Wasmund of Sandborn, New York. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren, Shawn Lakin and LeAnne Taylor and 2 great- grandchildren, Caden Taylor and Isabella Lakin. Bill was a member of the St. Florian Catholic Church of United. He was a member of various social clubs in the area. Family and friends are welcome 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Thursday in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral, Norvelt.Vigil prayers will be 7:45 Pm Thursday in the funeral home with Rev John A. Sedlak. Bill's funeral mass will be 10am Friday at St. Florian Church, United with Rev. Nathanael Polinski O.S.B celebrant. Interment to follow in St. Florian Cemetery, Trauger.
