William A Sladky

William A. “Will” Sladky age 80 of Mount Pleasant formerly of Mammoth, passed away peacefully Friday August 12 2016 at his home. Born May 29 1936 in Adah Pa, he was the son of the late Andrew J. and Mary E. Balchik. Will was a member of St. Florian Catholic church, United and read faithfully his bible nightly. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings Delores Shawley, Ed, John and Mary Ann Sladky. Will is survived by his sister Betty and her husband Frank Biller of Mount Pleasant, Brother Charles and his friend Eileen of Hunker and Judith VanArsdale and her husband Robert of Mount Pleasant. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. His interests were watching pro wrestling, soap operas, listening to country music, and going out to eat with his favorite sister Judy. Will certainly looked forward to attending 4:30 pm mass Saturdays in the visitation church Mount Pleasant. Family and friends will be received 4 PM to 8 PM Sunday in the Jay A. Hoffer Funeral home, Norvelt 15674. Transfer prayers will begin 9:15 AM Monday in the Funeral home, followed by his Funeral mass in Saint Florian Church 10 AM with Reverend John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Interment to follow in Saint Florian Cemetery, Trauger. His vigil service will begin Sunday 7:45 PM in the Funeral home
