William Andrew Straslicka Jr.

William Andrew Straslicka, Jr., 62, of McCandless Township, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016, with his family by his side. He was born July 28, 1953 in Greensburg, a son of William A. and Irene Magda Straslicka, Sr. William was employed by T&F Exploration of South Hills. An avid hunter and fisherman, William truly loved his cabin in Clinton County and was a member of the NRA. He loved all Pittsburgh sports, especially the Penguins and Panthers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas. He was the loving husband of 38 years to Victoria Nemeth Straslicka and father to his son William George. He is also survived by his two sisters Eileen (William) Ranella and Debbie (Cecil) Herbert; sister-in-law, Janet Holmes: and nieces and nephews, Ryan and Derek Ranella, Colby and Leighann Herbert. He will also be missed by his dog, Chez Chester and his cat, Tyra dactyl. Family and friends will be received 3-7:30 pm Wednesday with his funeral service to follow at 7:30 pm with Rev. John A. Sedlak officiating, in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, 2245 Mt. Pleasant Road, Norvelt, PA.
